Growing up in a family of fantastic cooks, he soaked in the deliciousness at home in the kitchen created by his mom and dad. More adventures began with his Mema Chisholm, baking up heavenly cakes and cookies never a birthday went by where she didn’t bake a custom cake for a family member, friend or member of her church . And let's not forget the time spent with Mema Andy, who not only cooked up a storm but also had a hand in developing menus at her friends restaurant, where she helped write the restaurants cook book!

Trey's restaurant journey began in Charlottesville, where he worked under the wings of culinary legends – Dale Quillon at Ole Virginia Fried Chicken and Melvin Walker at Mel's Cafe. These two maestros of classic Americana quick service and diner-style restaurants fueled Trey's passion and inspired him to carry on the tradition.

Now, at The Barn Restaurant, Trey invites you to be a part of his culinary history, helped with his right hand man in the business Ricky who brings his own restaurant knowledge & amazing customer service skills.
